Lin Qian, a mermaid from the ocean depths, rescued Yan Sheng and fell in love with him. She plucked her own scales into sapphires to fund his startup, while her tears turned into life-giving pearls. However, Yan Sheng merely treated her as a substitute and condoned You Shan's scheming. Suffering betrayal, Lin Qian began to turn back into fish scales, yet she still prepared gifts and saved their child. On the day You Shan faked a pregnancy to force a marriage, Lin Qian leapt into the ocean, revealing her true mermaid form.
