Ye Qian, king of the Langya mercenaries, returns home after his overseas campaigns to repay his adoptive father Yang Jianguo for raising him. No sooner is he back than he finds his adoptive father hospitalized, badly beaten for no reason by real estate tycoon Zeng Dafu. Ye Qian vows to protect his family and make the wrongdoers pay. Along the way he meets several beautiful confidantes: flight attendant Lin Rourou, whom he meets by chance on a flight; the upright and capable Wang Yu; the refined teacher Qin Yue; Hongyan Group CEO Li Ran; and the kind-hearted young Han Xue. Holding a grudge, Zeng Dafu teams up with Wei Dongxiang, the arms-smuggling kingpin behind him, and repeatedly sends the assassin organization Seven Kills after Ye Qian, setting one deadly trap after another.
