Surviving in Troubled Times: Starting by Empowering Divine Beasts
Lu Chuan travels through time to a world in chaos, possessing the body of a frail, sickly boy who herds cattle. He unexpectedly activates the Empowerment System, which allows him to grant supernatural abilities to animals on the brink of death simply by touching them. A pink lizard gains stretchy, elongated arms; a little hedgehog can find treasures and attack by rolling; a giant black bear gains the strength to move mountains; and an eagle becomes an aerial scout. With his wife, Zhou Qiong, by his side, Lu Chuan starts by hunting for food to survive, then gradually leads Bailiang Village in reclaiming wasteland, growing grain, building irrigation channels, and constructing granaries to stockpile food. Along the way, he eliminates the village bully Qian Sanba, tears Zhang Mazi apart with his bare hands, foils a night raid by bandits, and gains the support of General Wei Yunshan. From an insignificant cowherd, he grows into the trusted leader of the entire village.
