Suspicion Clouds Gather Thickly, The Truth Concealed
After Gu Jingwen knocked down a little girl in a red skirt and hid the corpse in a freezer, he returned home to find his missing daughter wearing the same clothes. Terrified that he might have hit and killed his own biological daughter yet too afraid to confess, he let his cousin's son stay over, who repeatedly risked opening the freezer. With visions of the little girl appearing frequently, Gu Jingwen was driven to the verge of a breakdown. Gu Ming tied him up under the pretext of mental instability, causing Gu Jingwen to break down and confess to hitting the person and hiding the corpse. The truth was that his wife, Lin Wenrou, had set a trap to expose his infidelity: secretary Yan Meimei was her close friend, the little girl was indeed their daughter, and Gu Ming was an accomplice. Relying on the confession evidence, Lin Wenrou forced him to leave with nothing. Half a year later, Gu Jingwen sincerely repented, and Lin Wenrou agreed to start over as friends, raising their daughter together.
