Fruit wholesaler Lin Chen learns that Nongtian Village is about to be hit by hailstorms and kindly warns the villagers to harvest their cantaloupes immediately, only to be dismissed by everyone. The village chief's daughter, Li Zhenzhen, suspects him of seeking illicit profit, incites the villagers to refuse selling, and even pressures him into refunding payments. Li Zhenzhen scrambles everywhere to find alternative buyers to no avail, and when the hail arrives as predicted, all the village's melons are completely destroyed. Lin Chen, having already bought up and sold all the melons from the neighboring Ma Village, helps Ma Village build its own cantaloupe brand, leading the whole community toward agricultural prosperity.
