Taking a Summer Job, I Became the Queen of a Hundred Beasts of the Sea of Sand
Lin Zhixia, a female meteorology student, takes a summer job at a cross-border e-commerce warehouse. After suffering heatstroke in the scorching heat, she is transported to the Western Frontier, where she becomes an enslaved laborer in a merchant caravan. By chance, she awakens the ability to communicate with animals. Camels, desert foxes, and birds all warn her of natural disasters and help her locate water sources. A corrupt supervisor secretly hoards fresh water, while wealthy merchants block ancient canals, monopolizing water supplies and exploiting everyone. Lin Zhixia joins forces with the workers and merchants from various tribes, following clues from the beasts to discover a thousand-year-old water-diversion canal. Together, they successfully withstand sandstorms and floods. She has no desire to monopolize power; all she wants is for everyone to have access to water and a place to rest during the scorching summer. The twelve oases jointly elect her as the Queen Who Guards the Water. Everyone works together to restore the waterways, allowing life-giving water to flow through the desert once more, where humans and all living creatures can coexist in peace.
