Inside and Outside the Wall, It Is All You - Season 2
Early 1980s, Kaoshantun in the north. The mute Lin Zhizhi is dainty and daring. Clearly living under someone else's roof, she dares to climb over Song Baichuan's courtyard wall, spend his "wife-finding savings", and firmly wrap the toughest and most unapproachable tough guy in the whole village around her finger. Others bully her for being mute, laugh at her for being silly, and curse her for not being worthy, but Song Baichuan protects her as the apple of his eye. When she causes trouble, he covers for her; when she gets hurt, his eyes turn red; when she sulks and ignores people, he stews meat, delivers money, and climbs the wall to coax her. She cannot say a single word of liking, yet he understands all her grievances and heartbeat. The whole village is waiting to make a joke out of the little mute girl, but instead, she is spoiled so much by the rough man that everyone turns green with envy.
