Lacking companionship, a six-year-old boy uses a single yuan earned from collecting recyclables to hire Shen Zhixia to be his mother for a day at his preschool sports meet. Feeling for the boy, Shen Zhixia agrees, helps him win honors, but is initially misunderstood and suspected by his nominal father, Huo Beichen. Once the misunderstanding clears, Huo Beichen recognizes her as the benefactor who saved his life ten years ago. When her flower stall faces malicious sabotage, he steps in to help. Shen Zhixia then builds a traditional Chinese floral livestreaming business across ten thousand acres of flower fields, finding success through sheer skill. In the end, the two come together, giving the little boy a truly whole, loving home.
