To test their children's sincerity, Shen Fushan and his wife stage his death, and he lies inside a coffin. Just as their old house is slated for demolition with a 2.8-million-yuan payout, four biological children rush back upon hearing the news. Yet none of them care about mourning; they only fight over the property deed, bankbook, and repair shop. Only their adopted son, Shen Chengyi, spends all his savings to fulfill his filial duty and quietly guards his elderly parents. In the end, Shen Fushan rises from the coffin to reveal the truth, exposing the ugly greed of his biological children, while the adopted son protects genuine kinship and the family estate with his sincere heart.
