While the sect leader of Fengyun Sect retreats into seclusion for a trial and temporarily leaves the sect, Grand Elder Chu Xuanchen seizes the opportunity to nurture his ambitions, monopolize power, and rewrite the sect's thousand-year-old rules. He introduces his self-created Xuancheng Art, an evil technique that manipulates the mind, controlling disciples' thoughts and cultivating a faction of loyal followers. He also secretly persecutes fellow disciples who question him, causing several disciples to mysteriously disappear. After emerging from seclusion, the sect leader's eldest disciple, Guan Yong, senses the changes within the sect and uncovers Chu Xuanchen's conspiracy to usurp power. He joins forces with the upright Third Elder Su Qingyuan and fellow disciple Lin Mo to present evidence publicly at the elders' council, exposing the truth behind the evil technique and Chu Xuanchen's ambitions. They uphold the sect's righteous path and await the sect leader's successful return from his trial to restore order.
