Sang Yu, princess of the Demon Realm, set her sights on Li Jing, the aloof Immortal Venerable imprisoned in the dungeon. Step by step she teased him; while he repeatedly claimed his heart belonged only to the Great Dao, his ear tips flushed red whenever she turned away. Caught between immortals and demons, burdened by his sect, he rejected her with words yet secretly cured her Soul-Devouring Poison, carried her down the mountain, and kissed her on a swing above the sea of clouds. But when she asked, "Will you marry me?", he only replied, "The time has not yet come." Heartbroken, Sang Yu severed her feelings and returned to rule the Demon Realm. Only when she fell unconscious in peril did he tear through ten thousand troops like a madman to personally tie the spiritual twin swords back to her waist—unbeknownst to her, the man who claimed he could never love had long broken every precept for her sake.
