The 50-Yuan Turmoil in the Workers' Site Shack, The Misunderstanding Finally Dissipates
Inside a construction-site prefabricated dormitory, foreman Zhou Cheng fights to recover the workers' hard-earned wages. However, a heated dispute erupts when lead worker Xu Dashan questions the legitimacy of a 50-yuan management fee. Xu openly voices his dissatisfaction, demands to know where the money is going, and urges everyone to stop working together. With reddened eyes, Zhou Cheng recounts how he drank until he suffered gastric bleeding and went from place to place begging for help to secure their wages. He insists that the fee covers advance payments, financing costs, and workplace injury protection. As night falls over the workers' dormitory, a strike plan quietly takes shape. Zhou Cheng walks away alone, his departing figure revealing the weight of responsibility and the suffering he silently endures. Can this crisis of trust, sparked by a lack of information, finally find a way toward reconciliation?
