A once-in-a-century super tide closes in early on the bay's Whale Bone Museum. Eighteen-year-old intern restorer Su He notices an anomaly on the tide gauge, but director Gu Zhou insists on closing early and evades questions about the underground whale bone corridor's past. When an old mechanical otter named Paopao unexpectedly awakens, it brings clues of a long-lost blue key and the old museum's tidal mechanism. Searching for blueprints and relics alongside her close friend An Xiaoman, Su He unravels the museum's true architecture and discovers the emotional knot Gu Zhou has harbored for twelve years. As floodwaters rise relentlessly, they reopen the sealed underground network, reviving the long-dormant old museum once again.
