The spunky only daughter of a Northeast butcher family marries into a wealthy household, where she meets her young stepson who has been confined to a sterilized room for seven years, terrified of people and germs. Refusing to follow the rigid, overly cautious rules of high society, she uses hearty warmth, down-to-earth vitality, and genuine love to thaw the isolated boy's heart, leading him out of his shell for a heartwarming journey of mutual healing.
