The Cold-Faced General's White Moonlight Escaped
Jiang Sui, an orphaned daughter of a fallen soldier stationed at Yanmen Pass, was rescued from a pile of corpses by Pei Zhan, the great general who protects the nation. She was brought back to the general's residence and spent ten years there as a humble, cautious young cousin. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to him, but received only his cold indifference. When she fell into the water, he abandoned her and humiliated her, saying, 'Don't dirty my ground.' With her heart finally broken, she fled and married Ji Changzhou, a poor scholar, hoping to live a peaceful life. But when Pei Zhan learned of her departure, he suddenly realized his feelings and desperately pursued her. Who could have imagined that the poor scholar was actually a hidden dragon destined for greatness? He passed the imperial examination as the third-ranked candidate and eventually became the Governor-General of Jiangnan Circuit. Together, the couple repeatedly outwitted powerful nobles such as Wei Jinshu and overcame one deadly crisis after another. In the end, Pei Zhan's belated devotion could never compare to Ji Changzhou's unwavering tenderness over ten years.
