The Date of Return to the Old Alley 1
When ten-year-old Shen He is abducted and taken to an old street in Haicheng, she escapes into an alley, where twelve-year-old Gu Chuan saves her. She leaves him a jade safety pendant and promises to return for it. Ten years later, Shen He has become the president of Hesheng Group and returns to the old street to find her rescuer. However, Zhou Yuqin has Zhou Xiaoman pretend to be the girl who gave Gu Chuan the pendant. Using scratches on the pendant, details of their shared past, and testimony from an old boatman, Shen He exposes the lie and confirms that Gu Chuan was the one who saved her life. For years, Gu Chuan has endured his aunt's emotional pressure over the cost of her surgery, keeping silent and afraid to reveal the truth. When everything comes to light, Zhou Yuqin apologizes and returns the pendant, and Gu Chuan finally admits what happened. Shen He invests in Chuan's Restaurant, and the two become business partners.
