The Day I Graduated, I Called My Seventy-Year-Old Self
On graduation day, Tang Qiao receives an unexpected phone call from her future self—her seventy-year-old self tells her that she and Ji Huai have spent their entire lives happily in love, but her best friend Xu Zhenzhen has remained unmarried for life. Xu Zhenzhen snatches the phone and calls back. This time, seventy-year-old Ji Huai answers and says something completely different: "If I could choose, I wish the person I had married were you." Tang Qiao does not expose the truth on the spot. It is only when an aged voice, filled with a lifetime of hatred for her, comes through the phone and says, "I hate you," that she finally sees clearly. The heartbreaking ending has already played out countless times right before her eyes.
