For three years, Li Daniu drove his farm tricycle for free, giving villagers rides and transporting goods without taking a penny. But villager Sun Guifang grew insatiable, demanding he haul over a thousand pounds of floor tiles for free and carry them upstairs. When he refused, she held a grudge and maliciously reported him for illegal passenger transport. Li Daniu was fined and had his vehicle impounded. Heartbroken, he took an iron hammer and dismantled the passenger seats, refusing to offer free rides ever again. Deprived of transportation, the elderly could not fetch medicine and farmers could not haul supplies. On the wedding day of Sun Guifang's son, heavy rain blocked the mountain roads, preventing the wedding supplies and banquet feast from arriving, bringing the marriage to an immediate halt.
