Rescued after seventeen years of abduction, Jiang Yao returns home and identifies her uncle Jiang Zhenguo at the police station as an accomplice of the traffickers. Upon returning home, she faces provocation from the adoptive daughter Jiang Yue, favoritism toward the culprit from her grandmother, and cold protection of the perpetrator from her mother Sun Ruowei. Jiang Yao gradually uncovers the truth: to seize the family estate, grandmother Zhang Hongmei conspired with Jiang Zhenguo and Sun Ruowei to traffic her. With covert help from Wang Yuqiu, the daughter of trafficker Wang Defa, irrefutable evidence is brought to light, and all perpetrators are imprisoned. Thereafter, Jiang Yao rebuilds her life alongside her father and Wang Yuqiu, establishing an anti-trafficking organization in hopes that no one will ever be abducted again.
