The Day My Engagement Was Broken, I Leased the Village's Worst Fish Pond (46 episodes)

In 1993, Lin Weidong, a young man from Qinghe Village, defied everyone's objections and used his bride price money to lease the village's foul-smelling fish pond. As a result, his engagement was broken and his father kicked him out of the house. Relying on his aquaculture experience, he uncovered a hidden underground spring to revive the stagnant water. Along the way, he faced malicious interference from Zhao Jingui, a wealthy pig farmer. With the help of accountant Shen Yuehe, he kept transparent accounts, combined crop planting with fish farming, and opened up sales channels. Overcoming prejudice and resolving the rift with his father, he eventually founded a cooperative, led the whole village to prosperity through aquaculture, and seized the trend of the era to turn his life around.
