The Day the Foehn Wind Came, I Collected the 600,000 Owed to Me
Three years ago, Tian Tian put all her savings—600,000 yuan—on the line to help her boyfriend, Ma Dong, cover his financial shortfall. In return, he disappeared with the money, leaving his company bankrupt. Three years later, she returns to Jinsha Bay with eight refrigerated trucks to buy melons, only to encounter Ma Dong repeating his old tricks. Using a livestream sales pitch promising an outrageous 30 yuan per kilogram, he persuades the entire village's melon farmers to reject her guaranteed purchase price of 9.6 yuan per kilogram. Under a red extreme-heat warning, a devastating scorching wind will strike in 40 hours, turning their greed into a disaster. When the villagers' melons rot in the fields and they have nowhere left to turn, they arrive at her company's doorstep in tears, begging for help. Tian Tian does not kick them while they are down. Instead, she plans to use evidence she has kept hidden for three years to make this habitual swindler settle his debts in front of the entire village.
