The End of the Road, Silent
In order to seek justice for his son who died in a car accident, Wan Dahu accidentally killed the drunk driver—the richest man in Yeji County, and became a fugitive. Knowing he could not escape legal sanctions, he decided to take his son Wan Xiaobao's ashes back to his hometown before turning himself in. Halfway there, he bumped into three newly graduated college students, Zhang Dongzhe, Chen Xi, and Qin Yue. Wan Dahu kindly helped them fix their car, only to find out that the three were his son's college classmates who had bullied his son multiple times during school. Not only did the three feel no guilt, they even spoke up for the drunk driver. When Wan Dahu reasoned with them, they instead snatched the only watch Wan Xiaobao left behind for Wan Dahu, and before leaving, they even set fire to Wan Dahu's car.
