The Fall of the Top Star tells the story of Best Actress Shen Yuman, who chose to divorce at the peak of her career, only to plunge to rock bottom due to blind trust in others and poor judgment. Facing public backlash and overwhelming debts, she stops running away, publicly owns up to her mistakes, shoulders her responsibilities, and starts over from supporting and minor roles. Her past marriage cannot be rekindled and her former glory has faded, but she finally learns to stand firm on her own feet. Meanwhile, Lin Nan and Su Qing move toward a new life built on mutual respect and honesty. No one stays at the top forever; having the courage to take responsibility after failing, and working hard after stumbling, is the true strength to begin anew.
