Fresh out of university, Chen Yu is tricked by his mentor into taking a job at a remote mountain forest protection station. He had hoped for an easy, secure job with little work, but as soon as he arrives, he unlocks the supernatural ability to understand wild animals. All he wants is to patrol the mountains in peace and write reports, yet wild creatures soon start showing up at his door. The first visitors are a sable mother and her young, who have come to repay a kindness.
