Born of noble blood but with a crippled magic core, Elysia is betrayed by her two childhood guardians who once swore to protect her—going so far as to strip away the very last traces of her magic. Left dying on the brink of death, she is rescued by Lucas, the mighty Dragon King, who brings her to his palace and showers her with the love and devotion she was always denied. When the truth finally comes to light and the traitors fall to their knees in regret, Elysia has already risen to stand at the Dragon King's side as his queen.
