Grandmother (Song Xiulian) endured humiliation her whole life, mistreated by her official husband and pushed aside as an outsider occupied her place, ultimately dying tragically beside the stove. I traveled back in time to become a voice in her mind, waking her up under the guise of the Kitchen God! Reclaiming what is rightfully hers, learning, gathering evidence, and standing firm against her heartless husband, she refuses to remain a humble, downtrodden woman.
