Qi Guilai lost his memory after waking from a car accident, remembering only that he had an apartment to rent out. Returning to his residence, he gets reacquainted with his tenant Mo Xiaoman, piecing his past back together little by little through cooking meals, collecting rent, and interacting with neighbors. Under his care and companionship, Mo Xiaoman also faces her own struggles, and the two gradually build a family-like bond of trust. Neighbors and friends continuously provide clues about his past; though Qi Guilai doesn't rely entirely on old memories, he rediscovers the people around him and his life anew. In the end, he remains a landlord, Mo Xiaoman happily stays, and the familiar neighborhood and dining table become their new home.
