Jiang Ning is the young proprietress of a small diner. Faced with greedy landlord Wang Defu abruptly hiking up her rent, she moves out overnight and strikes back by leasing an empty storefront directly across the street for a fraction of the cost. Overcoming harassment, rumors, and malicious reports from Wang Defu and his wife Liu Cuihua with quick wits, high culinary standards, and neighborhood support, Jiang Ning uses surveillance footage to send Wang Defu to face the law. Once past the crisis, she standardizes her restaurant, expands her honest brand into a successful chain, and turns adversity into triumphant business success.
