Trapped in a scam compound in Sihanoukville, Cambodia, Ling Wanning endured seven dark, numbing years. The birth of her fraternal twins rekindled her will to live. On the eve of the compound's downfall, her cold and harsh husband, Zhou Xu, left her and the children money, a ferry ticket, and a way out, choosing to stay behind himself to atone. Fleeing with her children to Singapore, Ling Wanning transformed and grew using the resources Zhou Xu had prepared. Facing down Brother Long, the mastermind hunting them from behind the scenes, she finally brought him to justice. Years later, living in peace with her children, she established a foundation with Zhou Xu's legacy to redeem others and make peace with her past.
