Qianxue, descendant of the exterminating-demon dragon clan, returns to her hometown to investigate her father's disappearance and the secret of their ancestral jade pendant. Zhao Batian, the village tyrant, covets the pendant's treasure, steals her father's remains, and sets up traps everywhere to harm her. Qianxue deploys her family's arts, getting to know forensic doctor Qin Ming, and learns that Old Yao was forced to turn against them because his grandson was threatened. Having gone through snares, infighting, and the perils of ancient tombs, they counter Zhao Batian and the scheming Zhao Mei, expose old grievances, and foil the conspiracy to seize the treasure. In the end, the villains reap what they sow, and through hardships, Qianxue and Qin Ming develop mutual feelings and stay together in the countryside.
