Lan Zixiang, a young Taoist priest from Qingyun Mountain, descends the mountain on his master's orders with three marriage contracts and just 200 yuan for travel expenses. He sets out to choose a fiancée and, along the way, collect some debts. At the Liu family's engagement banquet, he is humiliated. Su Wanqiu, the eldest daughter of the Su family, has been confined to a wheelchair for three years because she was poisoned, while the only daughter of the Gui family, Gui You, conceals a deadly menace behind her gentle demeanor. Using his medical skills, Lan Zixiang saves Madam Su and exposes a traitor within the family. His investigation then uncovers an old case involving Gui Xuanxiao, who used Qingyun Meridian-Sealing Medicine to harm people and murdered Su Hengshan. From an old medicine warehouse and a pharmaceutical factory to a gathering of Qingyun's old acquaintances, Lan Zixiang becomes entangled in a series of schemes. Ultimately, as an heir of Qingyun, he purges the sect of its traitors.
