The Long Summer
During that long summer filled with the sound of cicadas, a young person's feelings quietly began to grow. Hot, dry winds swept through old alleys and schoolyards, while innocent affection slowly blossomed through spending time together day after day. There was joy, hesitation, and regret over words that were never spoken in time. Summer was brief, yet its memories lingered long. A youthful encounter, accompanied by the growing pains of coming of age, became a midsummer imprint uniquely their own, forever frozen in time. When summer's end arrived, the young person said goodbye to the past and carried these memories forward, only then realizing that some summers, though over, remain in the heart forever.
