Lin Xiaoli easily believed her foreign boyfriend's promise of a "wealthy family manor." Seven months pregnant, she insisted on returning home to force her parents to sell their house and lend her money. Sensing something was wrong, her parents tried repeatedly to dissuade her, but she threatened them with death and eventually married into a foreign country. Only upon arrival did she discover that the so-called winery manor was merely a tin shed. She was reduced to free labor, and her baby was nearly trafficked. After narrowly escaping with her life and returning home, she knelt before her parents' door, weeping in bitter regret.
