Gu Yanchen and Su Wanqing have been married for twenty years, pampering their adoptive daughter Gu Ziyao in luxury. A cryptic hint from the nanny leads him to a hidden paternity test inside the family portrait frame, confirming Gu Ziyao is actually the child of his wife and her first love Zhao Zimo, while his biological daughter Zhao Qing was switched at birth, suffering mistreatment and delivering food after dropping out of school. Patiently investigating, Gu Yanchen exposes Su Wanqing's infant swap, infidelity, and embezzlement of 200 million in company funds at Gu Ziyao's 20th birthday banquet, teaming up with shareholders to oust her penniless. He brings Zhao Qing home, sponsoring her medical studies. Five years later, Zhao Qing becomes an orthopedic surgeon, and father and daughter finally take the family portrait delayed for twenty years.
