After the Qingxuan Sect suffers a devastating upheaval, Lu Linyuan spends years traveling alone, investigating the sect's old mysteries with nothing but an ordinary iron sword. Along the way, he meets Su Nian, an orphaned survivor of the Tianyin Pavilion; Zhao An, a clever young boy; and Qing He, an orphaned girl. Together, they gradually uncover a conspiracy in which the Floating Sky City exploits the spiritual ley lines of the mortal world under the guise of ascending to immortality. Faced with powerful rules and countless trials, they choose to support one another, awaken the conscience of the various sects, and unite the strength of Shenzhou to reclaim their homeland. True strength does not lie in standing above everyone else, but in protecting ordinary people's everyday lives, dignity, and peace.
