Duan Qingcang, the master of the Dragon Prison, was driven out by the Duan family, and his engagement was torn up by Zhao Xinyi. After returning to Jiangcheng, he learned of the late General Ning's dying wish to marry his granddaughter Ning Xiyue to him, but the Ning family intended to marry her to Yang Yukun instead. Duan Qingcang exposed Yang Yukun's scheme, displayed the might of the Dragon Prison master to awe everyone, subdued the crowd, and resolved the Yan family's provocation. Until the Dragon Gate Conference, Duan Qingcang finally revealed his true identity, defeated his ambitious younger brother Duan Feiyu, and ultimately stayed together with Ning Xiyue.
