The Princess Consort Wants a Divorce, The Prince Regent Panics
Shen Mingzhu wrote a letter of divorce for a close friend, but it was mistakenly delivered to the desk of her husband, Pei Yan. Married for a year, Pei Yan had rushed off to the borderlands, and upon returning to the capital, he avoided her everywhere. Convinced that he loathed this bestowed marriage, Shen Mingzhu straightforwardly proposed a divorce. Who would have thought that the usually calm and domineering Prince Regent would completely panic upon hearing this, not only refusing the divorce, but also proactively accepting a thirty-day "husband evaluation." He accompanied her for meals, bought pastries for her, moved his official business to her letter shop, and even hid behind a folding screen to earnestly take notes on how to be a good husband. Only then did Shen Mingzhu discover that Pei Yan did not dislike her at all; rather, he had kept her in his heart for many years.
