Lost for many years, Jiang Zhe is finally brought back by his wealthy biological family, only to face hostility and torment from their adopted son, Jiang Hao. While his father Jiang Wenshan defends him, his mother Su Wan favors Jiang Hao, whom she raised for fifteen years. Jiang Hao acts recklessly—stealing money, burning the relics of Jiang Zhe's adoptive parents, and repeatedly provoking him. Jiang Zhe gathers evidence to expose his misdeeds, resulting in Jiang Hao being sent away for reform. Later, Jiang Zhe learns he was merely a spare, and that the true eldest son, Jiang Chuan, is about to return. After weathering numerous misunderstandings and conflicts, the family unties their past knots; Jiang Zhe lets go of his resentment, takes over the family business, and chooses reconciliation.
