The Reckoning in the Lobby
In the lobby of the Gu Group, Gu Hongshan and his wife simply wanted to use the restroom, only to be subjected to all sorts of humiliation by the CEO's girlfriend, Su Yan. Relying on her status as the CEO's girlfriend to throw her weight around, Su Yan falsely accused the two of theft, condoned her subordinates in bullying them at will, and wantonly planted her own relatives while heavily encroaching on company assets. It wasn't until Gu Xubai rushed over that a single shout of 'Mom and Dad' revealed the true identity of the elderly couple. The arrogant Su Yan and her greedy family's sweet dreams were shattered, and they faced legal sanctions one after another. Gu Xubai was also demoted to the grassroots level for poor judgment in people, while the Gu Group purged its internal unhealthy tendencies and guarded the bottom line of corporate ethics.
