The Second Wife Became the Darling of the Marquis's Estate - Season 1
Jiang Yao, a legitimate daughter from Jinling, marries downwards into the Marquis's estate as a second wife, and the entire capital waits to watch her make a fool of herself by acting humble and submissive. She refuses to follow convention: she exempts herself from morning greetings, accepts treasures and fabrics, tightens her grip on the household financial power, and dares to ask for a divorce upon suffering the slightest grievance. Believing she would be ostracized by the entire estate, she instead stirs the lifeless Marquis's estate into vitality. Her mother-in-law, sisters-in-law, and younger sister-in-law all stand firmly on her side, and the cold-faced Marquis also goes from mutual respect to willingly indulging her wilfulness. What she relies on is not her status, but the courage to be herself.
