Wu Chuntang, 57, works as a housekeeper in Guangzhou taking care of 75-year-old Fang Henian, who lives alone. Every day, she reports an extra 20 yuan for groceries, raising suspicions from her employer and his daughter. In truth, the extra 20 yuan was not embezzled, but spent on medicinal soup ingredients prescribed by a doctor to quietly nurture the old man's health. Once the truth comes to light, the misunderstandings dissolve; she not only earns their deepest trust, but also helps reconcile Fang Henian with his grandson, Fang Zhixing. Through goodwill, responsibility, and familial love, this story dissolves estrangement and conveys the heartwarming strength of ordinary people brightening each other's lives.
