Lin Yuanshan, a shepherd boy, aspires to set up a goat farm, but faces continuous obstruction from village chief Zhao Dezhu. He accidentally discovers that Zhao Dezhu is colluding with the fraudster Qian Wancai to contract the village pasture for planting medicinal herbs for personal profit. He also learns that his father was defrauded by the same gang ten years ago and therefore strongly opposes his business venture. Gathering evidence such as recordings and account books, Lin Yuanshan teams up with Chen Xiaoyan from the Agriculture Bureau to expose the sham contract scam, punish the perpetrators, clear the hurdles, and ultimately start his farm successfully, achieving a triumphant turnaround.
