The Slacker Noble Consort, She Turns the Harem into a Comedy
Wu Xingxing, born into a family of military generals, only wants to live a carefree life of eating and doing nothing on the day she enters the palace for the imperial selection. But after accidentally letting out a loud burp in front of the throne, she is mistakenly chosen as the Noble Consort by the insomniac, short-tempered Emperor. Once inside the palace, she faces a harem full of concubines skilled in music, chess, calligraphy, and painting, each with a maximum level of scheming, fake sweetness, and innocent-looking deception. Wu Xingxing has no special powers or cheat abilities. She relies entirely on her sharp tongue for calling out fake women and her bizarre thought process, which hits like a devastating landslide, to turn palace intrigue into a full-blown rural romance comedy. While others poison and frame their rivals, she stir-fries poisonous mushrooms into a dish and sends it to the Imperial Study. While others compete for the Emperor's favor with elaborate dances, she puts on a chest-smashing performance for him.
