Wanqing enters the Prince Jing's manor as a concubine in the place of another woman, neither competing nor fighting, like a lone sparrow in a deep courtyard. Gu Han, the highly skilled guard commander who strictly observes the rules, secretly falls for her while protecting her day and night. The two repeatedly struggle between the gulf in their statuses and the constraints of etiquette. After his beloved Su Nianrou returns to the manor, Wanqing decides to leave and regain her freedom, only to face a series of schemes to ruin her reputation and frame her. Gu Han repeatedly breaks the rules and risks his life to save her. From restrained and suppressed feelings to fighting side by side, they ultimately expose Su Nianrou's vicious schemes.
