Fifty years ago, an impenetrably thick fog spread from the west across the entire nation. Countless monsters emerged from the fog and slaughtered humans at will. Humanity fought back but suffered defeat after defeat, until some people began awakening Spirit Oracles and fighting against the monsters. Eventually, the two sides reached a stalemate at Mount Tianqing. The protagonist, Wang Ye, is a third-year university student at Sucheng University in the Second Special Zone and an intern who has worked at the Fog Suppression Bureau for two and a half years. He is also an awakened Spirit Oracle King. He thought his life would continue this way indefinitely, until one day, the Fog Suppression Bureau assigned a new female intern to become his apprentice. Gradually, he discovers that this seemingly ordinary intern might be more than meets the eye.
