In the snow-covered winter of 1981 in northern Xinjiang, chilling winds sweep across the desolate countryside. Carrying the regrets of his past life, Qin Yanjun is reborn into his youth, stripping away his former foolish soft-heartedness and holding back pointless zeal. In his past life, his elder brother worked himself to death to protect him, his kin drifted apart into bitter estrangement, and a lifetime of lonely helplessness remains vivid in his memory. In this life, he is determined to protect his family, sever shallow romantic entanglements, and stay far away from snobbish opportunists. Seizing the opportunities of the era, he ventures into deep mountains for hidden treasures and braves freezing waters to catch fish, making a living and building wealth through bitter cold times. Leaving past mistakes behind and breaking the shackles of poverty with a steady mind, he rewrites everyone's destiny through the long years in northern Xinjiang, awaiting warm everyday peace and quiet prosperity year after year.
