In the third year of the apocalypse, Lin Wan and her mute younger brother Xiao An are kicked out by Squad One—all because of Su Yue, a new logistics member who knows how to act weak and helpless. Lin Wan turns around and takes her brother to take root in the ruins. While others chew on cold buns, she grows vegetables and stews meat in her pocket dimension; while others scramble for scraps, she stockpiles across the base with her twin dimensions. When the squad's missions fail one after another, crystal cores run dry, and zombies breach the walls, they finally realize—without Lin Wan, they can't even get a single warm meal. Slapping faces, protecting her brother, and rising to the top, at the end of the apocalypse, Xiao An finally opens his mouth and calls her sister.
