I'm Lu Dachuan, from the Northeast. Because of my explosive temper, I've managed to lose all 32 jobs I've had since leaving the military. When a boss withheld my wages, I gave him a righteous chokehold. When a man cheated with a waitress, I let him experience free fall. Now I'm on my 33rd job, and I have to keep it if I'm going to pay rent. After I stand up for five-year-old Momo, a mute girl being bullied by her caretaker, Shen Qinghu, the chairwoman of the Shen family, offers me a monthly salary of 100,000 yuan to be her daughter's personal bodyguard and contract stepfather. With my Northeast-style cooking, colorful outfits, and fearless attitude, I turn the wealthy Shen household upside down, help Momo overcome her loss of appetite, and discover the family's internal power struggle. Even the dejected old patriarch may have a reason to hope again.
