Lin Zhiyuan is reborn back into the 1970s. The very first thing he does upon waking is rush out to prevent his father's tragic death deep in the mountains. To make amends for his past-life regrets, he quits gambling and shoulders the burden of his household. Relying on his past-life experience traversing the mountains and hunting, he ventures into the wild to harvest wild ginseng, hunt wild boars, pay off debts, and rescue the helpless Zhao Xiaoman sisters. Packs of wolves descending, thugs striking back, and wild boars storming the village—crises arrive one after another. No longer fighting merely for his family's survival, Lin Zhiyuan gradually becomes the mountain guardian trusted by the whole village through every act of protection.
