The Tea Maiden, also known as Watch in the Aroma of Tea, tells the story of the widow Wu Xiuqin. Relying on her ancestral tea-making craft to make a living, she turns down Zhao Tiejun's marriage proposal and even secretly sells her blood to raise money for a house for her son Bai Jianming's wedding. Jianming initially opposes his mother's remarriage, suspecting someone wants to steal their secret tea recipe, but comes to his senses after finding the blood sale receipts and letters of appeal. Putting aside his vanity, he supports his mother in pursuing her own happiness and confesses everything to his girlfriend, Lin Xiaoya. In the end, everyone joins hands to overcome a fake tea crisis and pass down their tea culture. Jianming and Xiaoya tie the knot, while Xiuqin also finds her well-deserved happiness, showcasing the profound strength of family love and perseverance.
